If you’re new to podcasts…
What is a podcast?
A podcast is essentially a radio programme made available for download
over the Internet. If you have podcast software, it will automatically
download the new podcasts you subscribe to as they become available.
Do I need an iPod?
No. The audio can be played on your computer, or moved to any MP3 compatible
device, such as an iPod, other MP3 player, mobile phone or PDA.
Does my computer support podcasting?
Your computer needs to run podcasting software in order to receive the
audio file. The most popular is iTunes, which comes with every iPod –
you can also download
it free here. You can find a list of other podcasting software and
a general guide here.
A broadband internet connection is recommended, but isn't essential.
